Crowshead Gathering 2026
July 31 – August 1, 2026 | Hippie Hallow Campground | Floyd, VA
Join fellow Counting Crows fans for the very first Crowshead Gathering, a weekend celebration of music, community, and connection under the summer sky. Taking place at the scenic Hippie Hallow Campground (709 Webbs Mill Rd N, Floyd, VA), this two-day event brings fans together to honor the music we love and the friendships it inspires.
Enjoy live concerts both Friday and Saturday night, then spend your days relaxing in nature, meeting new friends, and building a community of Crows fans from near and far. With a variety of campsite options available, you can tailor your weekend—whether you prefer simple tent camping or a more comfortable setup.
Weekend passes include access to both concerts and campground activities. Exclusive event apparel will be available, and attendees will have the chance to support the Gathering through donations leading up to the weekend.
Crowshead Gathering is more than just a concert—it’s the start of an annual tradition. Come celebrate the Counting Crows, enjoy great music in a beautiful setting, and make memories that last long after the final encore.

A shuttle will run from nearby Hotel Floyd, https://www.hotelfloyd.com/ (540)745-6080 accepting bookings now. Shuttle will also run from Oak Haven Lodge, https://oakhavenlodge.com/, (540)-745-6080 accepting bookings January 1, 2026. You may purchase a pass for the shuttle or an event parking pass
What is the earliest we may arrive?
Gates open 11am Friday. Do not arrive before because there is no space on busy roadway to wait for gates to open. If you would like to arrive the night before or earlier in the week, book a camp site at the venue, https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/virginia-hippie-hollow-1-zwjh25v2
May we run a generator?
That would be kind of annoying for everyone else. There are a limited number of full hookup sites, so if electricity is important, move fast on those tickets.
Are there limitations on the size or look of a camping vessel
They can be as old and customized as your imagination takes you. There are low hanging limbs in the entrance and very narrow turnarounds. So, for that reason we can not accommodate Class A motor homes or 5th wheels.
Are dogs allowed?
yes, if your dog is cool. If your dog tends to be a problem around people and other dogs then dont make your problem our problem. Tying them up will not solve the problem because there are unleashed dogs that live here. Excessive barking is also frowned upon
May we have a personal fire at our site?
If your site includes a firepit, you may use it. Not all sites do and there is really no way to know which site you will get. You may bring your own off the ground fire pit to use but please do not build a new pit while here because it takes a full year for grass to repair itself.
May we leave then come back?
Reentry is permitted
Can we access the creek?
Yes, you may swim, wade, fish, or float?
Are there shower facilities?
Yes, even hot ones. No extra charge
Gluten Free, Vegetarian, and Vegan food options?
I cant say at this time. Can only schedule the food trucks that are available. There is an outdoor community kitchen where you can prepare your own food if you have special requests or allergies.
Is the event child friendly?
Not really? There is not a children only designated area. No playgrounds or activities. There will be open use of alcohol and marijuana. But, I cant speak on your parenting style.
Outside alcohol?
Yes, this a private establishment.
